On this day, my outdoor leadership class went out past Cove Creek to meet up with Joey Henson; master of high country bouldering, artist, and community advocate. We ate chips and dip, heard some stories about what conservation meant in the 80s [it meant chaining yourself to trees while bulldozers wait for the go ahead]. After that the class went up the hill to where the boulders are. I forgot my sd card on this day, but Kristian Jackson graciously let me shot with his full frame Nikon. How refreshing it was to shoot on an SLR after struggling to fluidly use the viewfinder on the mirrorless a7ii. Something special was present in the light that afternoon. What a wonderful day.
